Help Navigating LettersnStuff.com!
One of the main problems people have: If you see a Red X where an image should be Right Click on the image
and select Show Picture!
Another problem concerns the use of certain antivirus and spyware programs, especially
Zone Alarm! Please see their forum or contact their technical support for issues regarding animations and images (which the program tends to block
even though they are safe!!)
Aside from the above, this page should help clarify how to navigate LettersnStuff.com.
If you are familiar with
frames, you should not have any problems using LettersnStuff.com. The site format is basically the same as
what you will find all over the internet: on graphics, Incredimail related and other websites.
Please make sure to read the Terms/Privacy Policy page before you use anything on this site!
There are limited restrictions on
using "goodies" for non-commercial, not-for-profit purposes.
Some original creations: including
Pixel Art and Adoptables DO
REQUIRE a LINK to LettersnStuff.com on the same page they are put on when used on ANY website. This can be a text link or
grab one of a
banners on the Link To Us page!
NOTHING from LettersnStuff.com may be offered in "collections" or on CDs!!
Using the Update Page:
Specific instructions for using the update page are at the top of the Update / What's New page. New items are listed by
Category: followed by Subcategory (if
there is one) and page number(s). Unless the items are a New category or subcategory, you will find them on the LAST PAGE
of the section they are in. At the time of each update, the left menu will have updated and new
categories typed in Purple!
Frames:
LettersnStuff uses two frames. The LEFT Frame is the MENU and should ALWAYS be visible.
Use the (left frame) scrollbar to make
sure you see all of the categories because this is where they are listed!!
The MAIN (larger) Frame is what will change as you navigate the site.
This is where you will see the letters, animations,
etc after you click the text links on the Menu. (Use the right scrollbar to make sure you see everything on the page.)
If you somehow get out of the frames (and can't see the menu), click the link
at the bottom of the page (that says Click here if no left menu) to get back into the frames so you can see the menu. If you somehow end up on someone else's site,
click the back button on your window to return to our site.
Frames & Categories:
It should be easy to notice the left menu because of the blinkie at the top of it (which says MENU). It will always
be there although the blinkie is redecorated often!
The main thing to
remember is everything on the site is arranged in categories (for ease of use).
The Underlined words in the Menu
are Headings and you can't
click on them, But you CAN click on the words (Text Links) under the underlined headings.
Clicking the Text Links will allow you
to see everything on the site in the Main Frame!
For
example under the Heading FREE LETTERS is a listing of the categories of letters with matching blank sig tags
and sparkles that are available. (For example: Animals, Aquatic, etc)
Click on a Text (word) Link in the Menu and you'll EITHER be brought directly to the page with letters (like in Flowers),
OR
you'll be brought to a page that divides the Category into Sub-Categories. (for example Religious has two sub-categories:
Angels and Other).
Click on the button that has the name of the Sub-Category you want to look at (using the example above click on Angels or on Other)
and the letters and tags for that sub-category will come up in the main frame.
Pages in the main frame have navigational links at the top and bottom (page numbers, home, returning to the main
category, and at the very bottom a link to get back into the frames if you've gotten out of them). Note the page you are on will
not have a number link!
Everything on the site is arranged using this format, so once you get the feel of it you shouldn't have
any problems getting around!
Seeing LettersnStuff Creations on Another Site?
You are likely to find my letters in the "Archives" of another site. They should NOT be there.
The webmaster was told to remove my letters and pixel art from her site, although I was initially willing to let her keep specific
items I had made.
She refused, in no uncertain words, and has kept all of my work on her site claiming it as her own.
She is offering to make sparklized tags out of my letters and is using them not only to try to make money but
also to inflate the number of letters on her site - letters she did not make.
I can only guess that her reasons for keeping my hand drawn pixel art is to pull people to her site and offer things
she does not have the right to offer.
To make it absolutely clear: She WAS told several times to REMOVE my work from her site,
She NEVER bought my work, and She was NOT given permission to use or keep my work on her site.
This is not slander, it is fact.
It is pointed out because right is right and wrong is wrong,
and what she is doing is legally and ethically wrong.
Period.
