Help Saving and Using Sounds and Songs!

NOTHING from LettersnStuff.com may be offered in "collections" or on CDs!!

All songs and sounds on LettersnStuff will play using Winamp or Windows Media Player. I'm not sure how well Real Player works as I don't use it. Winamp is my choice: it's free, user-friendly and a small program!

You can Preview any song or sound by clicking on the title and selecting "Open"! (instead of Save)

All songs and sounds on LettersnStuff will be in either .WAV or .MID (MIDI) format so you can use them in your emails!

While most of the songs are in the Music Category (under Songs) there are other songs and sounds scattered through-out the site - (for example the Racing Category has a Racing Sounds sub category).

PLEASE SAVE ALL SONGS AND SOUNDS TO YOUR COMPUTER!

When you find a song or sound you want to download the first thing you need to do is Save it to your computer!

To Save Sounds or Songs:
Click on the name of the song and in the box that pops up select "Save"
Then Use the arrow (after where it says "Save in") to locate your desktop.
Finally, Click the "Save" button and let the song download.

You can also save by clicking the second link and downloading the zipped versions
or you can Right Click the title and select "Save Target As" (using the arrow to locate your desktop or file you want to save it in)!

Once a song is saved you should be able to listen to it using your favorite music program!

To add a Sound or Song to Incredimail:
After Saving to your computer, Right Click on the sound or song and select "Add Sound to Incredimail Style Box".
You will find the song under the "Sounds" tab in the Incredimail program!

If that doesn't work, open a new message, click anywhere in the body of the message and then click on "Sounds"
At the very bottom, click the button that shows a file and says "Add".
Browse to locate the saved song, click on it and click "Open"

Please note that songs may go into a personal collection (your name) instead of "My Collection"

To add a Sound or Song to Outlook Express:
First Save the song or sound to your computer!

To add WAV music or sounds
Open a new message (or reply to a message). Use the menu at the top of the message. Click on "Format" "Background" "Sound". Browse to locate the file, click on it. Check (the box) to have it play once or play continuously. Click OK.

To add a MIDI (.MID) song
After you open a message and click on Format, Background, Sound you'll need to use the arrow after "Files of Type" and select "Midi Files". Browse to locate the song, click on it, check the box to let it play once or continuously and Click OK.

The default setting is for "Audio Files" so unless you change the "Files of Type" you won't be able to see or select MIDI files!

The sound or song will start immediately, so if you don't want to listen to it while you're typing you message, add it after you've completed your email message!

To add a Sound or Song to your Webpage:
Save the song or sound to Your computer,
Upload it to your server using your FTP program and
code your page like you would for any other sound or image.

You Can change the name(s) of the sound or song, just make sure to leave the end intact (.WAV or .MID) unless you use a program to convert it to another format.
